For the past 25 years, Tolaini Winery has defined itself as a producer of world‐class red wines that symbolize the unique terroir of Castelnuovo Berardegna, the southernmost commune in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. It was the land, that drew Pier Luigi Tolaini there in 1996 and its' promise for powerful, age‐worthy wines that express this unique terroir. Today, Tolaini Winery produces five IGT International varietal‐based wines and three 100% Sangiovese wines. With the recent release of PERLUI IGT and Mello IGT, Tolaini is paying homage to the foundational blends and is also exploring a high‐elevation frontier. At the helm of the Winery is owner, Lia Tolaini Banville and by her side is winemaker Francesco Rosi who has worked with the consultants at Tolaini for the past fourteen years (Michel Rolland till 2017 and Luca D'Attoma till 2022). In 2023, Francesco has taken on the role as head enologist and director of production.
