The heart of Tuscany is Chianti Classico and its soul Sangiovese. When Diego Bonato and his team of enologists discovered that the spectacular clay and galestro soil, slope and exposition of Tolaini Montebello vineyard number 7 produced impeccable Sangiovese- pure in spirit, transcendent in quality, their mandate became clear: to create a single vineyard 100% sangiovese, Chianti Classico Riserva. It became their quest in the winery, to bottle the perfection the soil and sun had provided in the vineyard. The splendid 2008 growing season led them to choose this harvest as the first vintage. Resting in the winery for 24 months, a harmonious, fruit forward, refined expression of elegance and intensity was created: The Tolaini Chianti Classico Riserva.
